First league game of the season, team Exe were ready to give it all from the first whistle.
The ball was in our quarter for the majority of the first half which ended goalless.
Our determination not to concede but score continued - many attempts in the circle with the Dart goal keeper having to work hard denying Exe taking the lead.
Dart stepped up but Exe's defence maintained discipline but a couple of penalty corners.
We finally scored. Esme dribbled the ball, swung her stick round and got the ball in the goal with a reverse tomohawk. We heard the sound of the ref's whistle, the game froze for a minute but eventually the goal was allowed as no infringement had taken place.
Not long after Daisy went on to score a brilliant straight strike off a short corner.
Finally in the last minute Izzy scored a goal on the line.
A great team effort with several players being nominated player of the match but Daisy Keyte again winning the most votes!
Thank you to Jojo on sideline managing team as she has broken her wrist! Now in a cast, so we're all wishing her a speedy recovery!
