A minutes silence to pay respect to those who fought in WW1 100 years ago, commenced the start of an important game for Exe. Exe were enthusiastic and started vibrantly against Winscombe 1st’s. The match was well contested with Exe dominating for the first ten minutes. A great run from Alice Bradley and a hard hit from the top of the D led to Exe taking the lead. The game then opened up with end to end action but Exe dug deep and stayed on top. However, after a goal given then disallowed, a tense atmosphere surrounded the game going into the last 10 minutes. A flick was given against Exe but a fantastic save from Tori Smith kept Exe in the lead. After a nervous end to the match, Exe won 1-0. Mom Alice Bradley and Dod Kate Wright.
