After conceding in the first 5 minutes, before we had even really figured out where we were supposed to be and who we were marking, we pulled ourselves together and gained more possession. Dart didn’t hold back though and continued to defend well stopping us scoring. A long corner break from Dart saw them score their 2nd goal. Not to be deterred Exe were soon awarded a penalty corner, this was superbly struck by Mia Hempstead at the top of the D to make it 2-1 at half time. The second half was all about possession for Exe. Dart only got into our half 4 times in the second half! Yet, we just could not score! We must have had about 20 shots on goal that could not be converted. :(. Final score was a 2-1 loss but we can take a lot from this game with some excellent hockey being played, there is a lot yet to come from Exe 3s! Watch this space. Mom was Hannah Miller for her sustained effort holding the midfield.
