Exe after the break were ready for a tough game going into the match 4th in the table. Plymouth had a very strong start and drove concise into Exe's D and it resulted in an excellent goal. For the rest of the first half Exe had some good play from Mel Vaggers and Hope Evans keeping the score to 1-0 at half time. Exe started the 2nd half looking like a different team, with good, fast paced passes and play. Great passing from the midfield, Emma White and Josie Hassall saw the ball being played in and out of the Plymouth midfield. The game was well contested with Caitlin Searle making some brilliant tackles to keep Exe firmly in the game. A quick and strong break from Plymouth saw them score a second with 10 minutes to go. Exe turned the ball around quickly and had 3 short corners back to back but unfortunately we were unable to get it past a good Plymouth defence. The end of the game ended up 2-0 to Plymouth. Man of the match went to Caitlin Stearle and silly person of the match went to Hope Evans.
