Match Report

Another fabulous game of hockey played on the Exeter Uni water pitch.

The sun was shinning the whole game and everyone felt good and wanted to win!

The first half had Exe4s looking stronger with Isca struggling to find a way through our defence.  The game it is fair to say was end to end.

The first half had a couple of shoots on goal from both sides,  however non of them hitting the back board.

Score at half time 0-0.

Then Exe and Isca picked up the pace.  We again looked like the stronger side.  Our closest chance came when Soraya found herself in the D with just her and the goalie.  Sadly this chance wnet just wide of the post.  Today it was not meant to be.

With just a few minutes left on the clock - a quick pass into the circle from Isca was redirected across the goal which gave Isca the winning goal.

Great team effort with outstanding defending by Emma Renshaw, player of the match.

Thank you for a brilliant season Girls.  I have really enjoied being your captain this season.  I'm also pleased to say we are staying up in Petroc1 and I really think this is where we should be (unless we want promotion?)

See you all in September.     K Parr  - Captain 2016-17
