After a shaky 10 minutes, in which time Isca were allowed to score, Exe levelled the playing field with a goal from a lovely timed pass by Anya Kilburn-Thompson for Roxy Lewis to slot home. 1-1 at half time. After the break Exe began to dominate seeing Isca camped in their half. Exe had a number of chances. A well crossed ball from Cissie Marlow allowed Evie Jones to tap in for goal 2. The third goal came from a solo drive into the D from player of the match Megan Langley who struck the ball towards goal and was assisted into the net with a crafty deflection from Marlow. A really great team performance once again, solidifies our position at the top of the table.
Btw, if we did DOD then it would have been Daisy Bowmer today who was thinking too much of her stomach and forgot about poor stranded Sian up and the pitch, who was duly rescued by Roxy!! |
