| Match Report | What a cracking morning over at Sidmouth for the 5ths, they stepped on to the pitch full of drive and determination. It was Exe that put the pressure on the hosts with the first goal when Jojo picked up a clearance from the goalie and sent it strongly goal bound for Mia to finish it off with an impeccably timed deflection. With strong defending on both sides, neither team quite managed to break through to score again for the rest of the first half. Half time: 1-0 to Exe The second half saw some equally great hockey and a strong attack from Sidmouth and Ottery saw them score, making it 1-1. Despite fighting hard for the remainder of the game, neither team managed to add further to the scoreboard. Full time: 1-1 Our man of the match was Mia, followed by joint runner ups Tilly and Minz. A special mention to all of our defensive line and goalie as the number of short corners they had to defend was well into double figures, and not one goal was scored from them!
